STARZ Guitarist Detained At JFK Airport, Misses Live Album Recording
September 24, 2004Legendary '70s hard rockers STARZ played in Cleveland Thursday night (Sept. 23) at the Beachland Ballroom minus guitarist Brenden Harkin. Brenden missed the plane to Cleveland after being detained by airport security for unspecified reasons in New York's Kennedy airport for over three hours. He was eventually released but could not get on the last flight to Cleveland because the plane was full. The band, who had driven in the night before and features four of the five original members (bassist Peter Sweval passed away in 1990),ended up performing as a four-piece. To add to the frustrations, STARZ recorded the show for an upcoming "live" album. The packed crowd didn't seem to mind as the band tore through a set lasting just under two hours. The set list was as follows:

02. Detroit Girls
03. (She's Just A) Fallen Angel
04. Rock Six Times
